How To Perform Cat Pose and Cow Pose

Cat Pose (top pose in image)

Start on your hands and knees in Table Pose.

Situate your knees directly below your hips.

Your wrists, elbows and shoulders should be in line.

Center your head in a neutral position, eyes looking at the floor.

As you exhale, round your spine toward the ceiling, making sure to keep your shoulders and knees in position. Release your head toward the floor, but don’t force your chin to your chest. See image at left.

Inhale, coming back to Table Pose. Repeat 5 to 8 times.

Stay in Table Pose and continue on to Cow Pose.

  1. These really get your abs working. I am so much flatter and firmer since I added them to my routine a year ago.
